Bathymetri Survey

The Bathymetry survey was conducted to map the bottom of the water with a degree of accuracy. This will help the correlation and interpretation of data obtained from other methods, which yield depth information and enable quality checks of results. Because other methods measure thickness from below, this accuracy is important.

The principle of the method is to send an acoustic signal and measure the travel time to record the depth. This depth conversion process is done by measuring the speed of sound in various depths.

Measurement of water depth can be expected to be accurate for within ± 10 cm. Bathymetry equipment is a small tool mounted on a boat and the survey is conducted in conjunction with other measurement methods
